Business Initiatives Coordinator, currently working in Bangladesh
Sohel Rana is a public health professional with over six years of experience, specializing in the areas of health project implementation, uptake of essential service packages, universal health coverage (UHC), health systems strengthening, primary health care and service delivery, health policy and management, refugee health, emergency health, field coordination, monitoring, evaluation, community outreach, social behavior change communication (SBCC), public health research, and health care financing.
Prior to joining ThinkWell as a business initiatives coordinator, Sohel worked for the World Health Organization (WHO), USAID’s Bangladesh Nutrition Activity (BNA) project, USAID’s Heath Finance and Governance (HFG) project, and John Hopkins University for different public health interventions including health emergencies. Mr. Rana has experience working with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Ministry of Disaster Management, and other directorates (DGHS, DGFP, HEU).
He has contributed to numerous publications on UHC and other areas of public health.
Sohel holds an MPH from the Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia where he was an Indonesian Government KNB Scholar and a master’s in anthropology from Jahangirnagar University.
