Dr. Shabana Haider is a policy specialist, a health planner, strategic health communication professional and a global health expert with 15 years of experience in health, population, nutrition and WASH sectors. She is also the Chair of the Advisory Committee on Health & Population, Planning Commission of Pakistan, the apex body for Policy and Planning in Pakistan. Prior to joining Thinkwell, she was a senior official in the government and took care of over 300 development projects in the health sector. She has pioneered in setting up organizations related to health regulation, population planning and nutrition. She has headed many international development projects in Pakistan and advised many national and international governments on health issues. She was granted the best performance award twice by the Premier of the province for her work in the health sector. She has been a board member of many public sector companies. Before joining the development sector she was a marketer in a French pharmaceutical and the Business Head of a Singaporean multi-national. She has consulted for the World Bank, DFID, USAID, Save the Children and ADB.
Dr. Shabana Haider holds a Masters in Science in Global Health from Mc Master University, Canada; Masters in Public Policy from Pakistan; Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Pakistan and certification in HRH from Harvard school of Public Health.
