MERLA Specialist , currently working in Indonesia
Iko Safika is a monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and adaption (MERLA) specialist based in Jakarta, Indonesia with more than 15 years of experience working on public health-related research, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E), program planning, and developments of international donor-funded projects. She holds a Ph.D. degree in public health from the School of Public Health-the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), USA. She also did post-doctoral fellowships at the Survey Research Laboratory-UIC, and The Nossal Institute for Global Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has published several articles on HIV and AIDS’s structural interventions in Indonesia. She has also provided technical assistance to Government of Indonesia personnel to publish three peer-reviewed articles on maternal and neonatal (MNH) risk factors in Indonesia.
