M&E Specialist, currently working in Kenya
Benter Owino is a program management, monitoring and evaluation practitioner with interest in public health governance, project cycle management and strategic information.
Her work experience spans Kenya and several countries in Africa, where she has served in various capacities in programs addressing reproductive, maternal newborn health and family planning, education and livelihoods development. Previously she worked with MEASURE Evaluation as the lead for Reproductive Health and family planning; World Vision Southern Africa region setting up a learning center to improve staff competencies through training, mentorship and technical assistance. Prior to that she provided oversight to the HIV/AIDs research and evaluation team of World Vision East Africa. She has extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, program management including proposal writing and design, new project startups, planning and implementation, and close-out. She has published several research and evaluation works.
Benter has an MA in Population Studies and Research from the University of Nairobi, is certified in program management for development professionals (PMD pro) and training in public health from Universite Catholique de Louvain, Brussels.
