Keith Simbotwe works as Performance Management Advisor in Southern Province in Zambia under USAID-FHN Project. His job specifically deals with making sure that the team performs to expectation by linking RMNCAH&N indicators to performance and identifying gaps among indicators. This is done by involving colleagues in the M&E department and initiating the TA in Pre-planning and other activities that will help closer up the gaps that influence high performance in order to achieve the goal of the project. Keith works with a group of specialized personnel who influence performance such as Health finance & governance Advisor, M & E officers, Community engagement Advisor, Health management information system Advisor, QA/QI advisors, and the Ministry of Health personnel who will be provided with the TA in System strengthening.
Keith has worked with the Ministry of Health for 16 years with vast experience, started as Male Nurse, and at that time was in charge of the health facility. He then studied Development Studies with Public Administration (bachelors of Art) which led him to the position of being District Health Planner for Mongu District Health Office until he joined ThinkWell in January 2022. Under the Ministry of Health, Keith has worked with a number of partners (NGOs) who have interacted with him on several issues in service delivery, particularly on system strengthening (performance management) as they provided TA. This influenced Keith’s decision to join the corporate world and leave the Government so that he will be able to provide experience and expertise to the Ministry of Health.
