Ivete Joaquim is a general clinic physician with over 15 years of experience in the Mozambique health sector and over 10 years of work experience in donor-funded health programs. She has a proficiency in planning, managing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs, including prevention, care, and treatment as well as TB/HIV, pharmacy, and laboratory. Her professional career began at the National Health Service and continued to Health Alliance International where Ivete was the District Chief Medical Officer in Búzi in the central area of Sofala Province. She’s held positions as a Multidisciplinary Team Leader with health Alliance International and as the HIV/Tuberculosis Supervisor for Médecins Sans Frontières-Belgium in Maputo. Prior to joining the ThinkWell team, Ivete was the Provincial Clinical Manager in Nampula Province for ICAP Mozambique with the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
Ivete is based in Maputo and speaks Portuguese and English.
