Ivete Joaquim is a general clinic physician with over 15 years of experience in the Mozambique health sector and over 10 years of work experience in donor-funded health programs. She has a proficiency in planning, managing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs, including prevention, care, and treatment as well as TB/HIV, pharmacy, and laboratory. Her professional career began at the National Health Service and continued to Health Alliance International where Ivete was the District Chief Medical Officer in Búzi in the central area of Sofala Province. She’s held positions as a Multidisciplinary Team Leader with health Alliance International and as the HIV/Tuberculosis Supervisor for Médecins Sans Frontières-Belgium in Maputo. Prior to joining the ThinkWell team, Ivete was the Provincial Clinical Manager in Nampula Province for ICAP Mozambique with the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Ivete is based in Maputo and speaks Portuguese and English.

Julio Saturnino is a monitoring and evaluation professional with seven years of experience. He holds expertise in health, education, and agriculture in the context of development. He has worked with non-governmental organizations with funds from the United States Government (CDC and USAID) as well as from other agencies such as DFID and the UN. He has a Bachelor’s degree with honors in education administration from Universidade Pedagógica. Marina Prieto is a medical doctor who specializes in general and digestive surgery. She worked with Médecins Sans Frontières in Angola after finishing her specialization and has worked in global health ever since. She holds more than 12 years of experience in project management, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of international health programs in low- and middle-income countries, including supervision and reporting. She is an expert in HIV prevention, including voluntary medical male circumcision, and care and treatment programs, including TB/HIV, pharmacy, and laboratory. She holds strong knowledge of Mozambique’s national health system, including the policy and management structures at national, provincial, and district levels. At ThinkWell, Marina Prieto is a senior program manager.

Jorge Jose Moiane has worked in the health field since 2007.  He’s spent eight years working in health promotion and improvement of care and treatment for people living with HIV. He also spent four years working with data management and analysis of health research related to care and treatment for HIV. He’s also worked in monitoring and evaluation for HIV-related projects in the data analysis component.

Toze Jose Namalela has over nine years of professional experience in planning, information, and monitoring and evaluation in the health sector, specifically with Mozambique’s HIV program and National Health System. In these roles, he ensured the management of data, information, and preparation of periodic reports. Toze also worked at Lichinga Provincial Hospital and Niassa Provincial Health Directorate leading the Department of Planning and Cooperation’s activities. In addition, Toze worked with Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) as the Sofala Provincial Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. In this role, he expanded the Electronic Patient Tracking System (EPTS) in the provincial health facilities. Toze holds a degree in Business Management and Statistics. At ThinkWell, Toze will use his experience to ensure that the ECHO project’s objectives are met.

Julinho Alexandre has 15 years of experience in public health with an emphasis on community health, HIV/AIDS, nutrition, and WASH. He holds extensive experience in program and project management, supervision, preparation, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). He also holds strong ability to process data and knowledge in M&E, including digital health. In addition, he has experience in institutional capacity building for community health and coordination of integrated projects (health/nutrition, agriculture, and WASH) with multiple implementing partners and different donors, including USAID, GAC, and PEPFAIR.
